CAIRO – 9 October 2017: A delegation of French investors and consulting offices will visit Egypt to review investment opportunities in new cities, France’s ambassador to Egypt Stefan Roumtier said Monday.
Roumtier made the announcement during his meeting with Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly, a statement from the ministry reported.
Welcoming the news, Madbouly noted that Egypt is witnessing an urban progress and influx of local and foreign investments in a number of projects.
Roumtier met Minister of Finance Amr El-Garhy on September 29, where he stressed his country’s support for the economic reforms adopted by the Egyptian government.
Around 160 French companies are operating in Egypt with investments worth more than €4 billion ($4.7 billion), according to official figures.
