Cabinet to discuss investment law’s regulations Wednesday

CAIRO – 8 August 2017: The cabinet of ministers will review the final draft of the New Investment Law’s executive regulations Wednesday, the cabinet said in a statement.

In the first meeting of the cabinet’s economic ministers to discuss the executive regulations, the ministers approved the final draft of the regulation, Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr said Monday.

The executive regulations were after that referred to the cabinet for review, and if approved, will be sent to the State Council for revision, to be later officially approved by the cabinet, Nasr added.

Nasr highlighted that the regulations will be issued before the end of August.

Approved by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on June 1, the New Investment Law aims to facilitate business procedures and accelerate arbitration of business disputes to offer incentives.
