President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the inauguration of the New Delta Integrated Development Project, one of Egypt’s major national agricultural projects, located along the Rod El Farag-Dabaa axis road.
Speaking during the inauguration, El-Sisi said Egypt’s achievements in the agricultural sector are a source of pride for all Egyptians. He stressed the need to present the full picture clearly to the public, allowing citizens to recognize the scale and importance of the project.
El-Sisi described the New Delta project as a major national undertaking that aims to cultivate around 2.2 million acres and strengthen Egypt’s agricultural production.
He said the infrastructure cost per feddan ranges between LE350,000 and LE400,000, bringing the project’s total cost to nearly LE800 billion.
“The Egyptian people are the true owners of this achievement,” El-Sisi said, highlighting the project’s role in supporting food security, economic development, and national growth.
The president added that the project is expected to create around 2 million job opportunities, making it one of Egypt’s most significant development projects in terms of employment, agricultural expansion, and long-term economic impact.
El-Sisi also noted that Egypt is working to maximize production of several strategic crops, adding that the government has already identified the crops targeted for cultivation and presented them to investors.
