U.S. dollar stable in Sunday transactions

CAIRO – 30 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate stabilizes against the Egyptian pound in Thursday’s banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar is LE 17.83 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling.

Recording the highest exchange rate, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank recorded LE 17.88 for buying and LE 17.98 for selling. Bank Audi came at the second rate registering LE 17.88 for buying and LE 17.98 for selling.

Egypt’s biggest private sector bank Commercial International Bank (CIB), along with majority of banks including Banque du Caire, Arab Bank and Arab African International Bank, recorded LE 17.9 for buying and LE 18 for selling.

Meanwhile, the biggest state-owned bank National Bank of Egypt (NBE) offered the lowest exchange rate at LE 17.8 for buying and LE 17.9 for selling.

As for the euro, it rebounded to LE 20.85 for buying and LE 20.97 for selling, up from LE 20.80 for buying and LE 21.07 for selling Saturday.

The GBP (British Pound) went up to LE 23.43 for buying and LE 23.57 for selling, up from to LE 23.32 for buying and LE 23.55 in the prior day.

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.75 for buying and LE 4.78 for selling, according to the CBE.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.89 for buying and LE 59.50 for selling and the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.85 for selling and LE 4.88 for buying.
