EUG offer 42 opportunities in oil, gas exploration: Petroleum Minister

CAIRO – 1 October 2024: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, recently led a workshop exploring investment opportunities in oil and gas exploration, production, and development. These prospects, offered through the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG), encompass 42 distinct opportunities.

Badawi affirmed his confidence in the state’s potential to achieve its objectives in maximizing the utilization of natural resources, aiming to solidify Egypt’s position as a regional energy hub.

He emphasized the range of investment opportunities in the petroleum sector and the crucial role of stakeholders in promoting these ventures to attract new investments, aiming to boost production levels.

During the workshop, Mohamed Radwan, EUG’s General Manager, provided a comprehensive presentation on the platform.

He elaborated on how investors can benefit from the rich data and opportunities the gateway offers. Radwan highlighted the 61 current investment opportunities available through EUG for exploration, development, and production, distributed across different regions.

These opportunities fall under the management of entities such as the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE), and the General Petroleum Company (GPC).
