ALEXANDRIA - 23 July 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting Sunday to follow up progress in implementing development and service ventures in Alexandria, Matrouh and Beheira governorates.

The meeting, which was held at the cabinet's headquarters in Alexandria governorate, was attended by the local development minister as well as Alexandria, Matrouh and Beheira governors.

During the get-together, the premier stressed the importance of finalizing development and service projects according to its set timetable as well as the studies of the new ventures needed by these governorates to fulfill the needs of the citizens in various fields.

He also gave directives to continue removing encroachments on state-owned lands to preserve the rights of the state and citizens.

Alexandria Governor Mohamed Sultan reviewed a comprehensive report on the development and investment opportunities in the governorate in various fields such as mining, agriculture and water resources.

He further said that the goals of the development plans include developing the tourist services and the infrastructure to benefit.

The report took up the ventures being implemented such as building 1,632 housing units in "Bashaire el Kheer 1" project with a total cost of 300 million pounds.

Matrouh Governor Alaa Abu Zeid tackled, in his report, the ventures being carried out in the governorate especially in the domains of drinking water, electricity and developing gas factories.

Beheira Governor Nadia Abdou submitted a comprehensive report on the work progress of the projects being carried out in the sectors of housing, drinking water, health and education.

She said that the project of developing Rosetta City represents a priority for the governorate besides developing Idco Lake.
