Emigration Minister present developments of setting up investment Company for Egyptain abroad

CAIRO - 21 March 2024: Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Soha Gendi, highlighted the progress made in establishing an investment company specifically for Egyptians abroad, which will be  managed by Egyptian businesspersons residing overseas. This company has already been registered with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI). 
 
Its primary objective is to stimulate investments in various sectors, including agriculture, commerce, import-export, and tourism.
 
The Egyptian Ministry of Immigration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will launch of the initial phase of an electronic application designed specifically for Egyptians residing abroad, she added.
 
Minister of Immigration, Soha Gendi, shared this information during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, as reported by the Cabinet.
 
The forthcoming application will encompass a wide array of investment incentives and benefits to Egyptians living outside of Egypt. Registration for the application will be facilitated using the national identification number.
 
The minister reaffirmed the Ministry of Emigration's commitment to eliminating any obstacles that hinder Egyptian investors residing abroad. 
Previous discussions with multiple investors have emphasized their urgent need for the establishment of a comprehensive investment entity catering to all categories of Egyptians living abroad.
 
 Additionally, these investors have put forth a number of noteworthy investment opportunities with promising potential for future expansion.
