GAFI launches electronic platform for golden license system

CAIRO - 26 November 2023 The first phase of the electronic platform for the single approval system, known as the golden license, was officially launched. The platform was unveiled by Hossam Heiba, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).

During the launch ceremony, Heiba emphasized that the new platform will provide investors with information and data pertaining to the golden license system. It will offer a streamlined process for investors to submit their requests for a single approval and conveniently track the status of their applications.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the launch of the platform virtually and had the opportunity to witness Hassan Allam Company apply for a single approval license for their strategic warehouses project. The entire application process took 10 minutes.

Hassan Allam's strategic warehouses project aims to establish, manage, operate, and maintain state-of-the-art warehouses in Luxor, utilizing the latest scientific and technological advancements. Spanning over an area of more than 43,000 square meters, the project has investments totaling LE 1.5 billion.

Heiba disclosed that the second phase of the platform is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. This next phase will further enhance the platform's capabilities, ensuring a seamless experience for investors seeking the golden license.

The launch of the electronic platform marks a significant milestone in Egypt's ongoing efforts to attract both local and foreign investments.
