Cairo – October 30, 2023: According to sources cited by local media, the Bahraini GFH Group has outlined an initial investment target of $500 million to be infused into Egypt's market through its investment arms operating in the health, education, and logistics sectors.

This commitment follows the CEO of GFH Capital, Razi Al Murabati, statement about the company's interest in investing in Egypt through those sectors during the recent Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh.

The group is currently engaged in exploring diverse investment prospects, planning to finalize one of them by early 2024.

In their pursuit, the group's education investment arm, Britus, has enlisted the assistance of a financial advisor in Egypt to facilitate the acquisition of a pre-university educational institution.

Additionally, the GFH Group is in advanced discussions with a specialized education investment platform in Egypt, owned by a prominent financial institution and a sovereign entity, to explore cooperative and joint investment opportunities, explained the sources. It is also possible that the GFH Group may participate in the capital of this platform at a later stage.

Insiders disclosed that GFH Partners, the group's logistics investment arm, is actively evaluating opportunities in Egypt's smart transportation sector, and the year 2024 is expected to witness the group's inaugural investments in these sectors.

While specific details were not provided, the company recently announced to the Bahrain Stock Exchange that it has initiated the due diligence process for an Egyptian educational institution.

As highlighted on the group's website, GFH presently manages assets valued at up to $17.6 billion, operating across diverse fields including asset management, real estate, education, healthcare, and technology. The company emphasizes profitability and sustainability through its investments across multiple countries.
