CAIRO - 22 October 2023: Enppi and the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of training and knowledge sharing in the petroleum industry.

The agreement comes within the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to promote comprehensive cooperation between Egyptian petroleum companies and international organizations, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla stated.

El Molla highlighted that the agreement reflects the Ministry's commitment to expanding collaborative opportunities and leveraging technical expertise in various sectors of the petroleum industry.

He emphasized the necessity of keeping pace with global advancements in the oil and gas sector and developing fruitful partnerships between Egyptian enterprises and international organizations.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has begun work on the implementation of its unified digital platform for mining ores and gold which will facilitate access to geological data for research, as well as exploration and production activities in Egypt.

The digital platform will provide investors with information about the rights to explore and develop Egyptian mineral resources, enabling them to understand the current status of a specific area and track ongoing licenses for exploration and exploitation.
