CAIRO - 19 October 2023: During the third session of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping held discussions with Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, on exploring fresh investment opportunities in the TEDA region. Including advancing technology sectors such as electric cars and green hydrogen production.

Jinping conveyed China's strong interest in partnering with Egypt across various domains, including infrastructure, energy, aviation, tourism, renewable energy, healthcare, and more.

He warmly welcomed Egyptian products into Chinese markets, highlighting the significance of Egypt being the first Arab nation to establish diplomatic ties with China.

President Jinping also expressed support for Egypt's successful issuance of panda bonds, valued at 3.5 billion yuan (around $500 million) in the Chinese market earlier this week.

Furthermore, both nations recently ratified a debt swap agreement to facilitate the implementation of development projects in Egypt."
