Bourse closes trading with even split, market cap. recorded at LE 1.149trn

The Egyptian Exchange ended its Wednesday trading session with a split performance, with the market cap recorded at LE 1.149 trillion, down from yesterday’s LE 1.154 trillion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 was down by 0.49 percent to end the session at 17,380.33 points, with EGX 50 following suit with a drop of 0.52 percent to 3,229.69 points.

On the other hand, EGX 70 surged by 1.31 percent to 3,569.33 points, followed by EGX 100 which climbed by 0.92 percent to end the session at 5,267.05 points.

Today’s trading saw 712.31 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 1.57 million.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 67.94 million. Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with LE 46.45 million and LE 21.49 million, respectively.

The top gains of the session were by A Capital Holding which climbed by 12.5 percent, Belton Financial Holding by 10.24 percent, and Maridive & oil services by 8.18 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Rakta Paper Manufacturing which fell by 5.25 percent, Golden Coast Company by 4.38 percent, and Eastern Company by 4.26 percent.
