The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), in collaboration with venture capital company 500 Global, has launched a new program dedicated to upskilling local accelerators and incubators.

To be held between October 15-19 at the Creativa Innovation Hub – Giza, the Bootcamp for Accelerator Managers: Egypt (BAM Egypt) will introduce curated lessons and best practices, including attracting quality deal flow, how to find experienced mentors, and designing valuable curricula.

According to a statement by the MCIT, the program builds on ITIDA's expertise and 500 Global’s track record of running 85+ accelerator programs around the world.

It is tailored to train accelerators and incubators and help them learn from the challenges others have faced, it added.

The Bootcamp is within ITIDA’s objective of developing Egypt’s ICT industry to improve its global competitiveness, helping stimulate economic growth, and creating more job opportunities. The agency works to strengthen Egypt’s competitiveness within the global ICT sphere by developing the BPO/ITO industry, increasing digital exports, and attracting FDIs.
