Source details top countries behind capital inflow in Egypt since 2014

CAIRO – 12 April 2023: A governmental source detailed to Al Watan newspaper Wednesday the top countries that contributed to capital inflow between 2014 and 2022.

 

The largest share belongs to the UAE, and that is 57.22 percent, followed by Bahrain (9.41 percent), the Netherlands (nine percent), Italy (8.28 percent), and Saudi Arabia.

 

The source also highlighted the inflow from those countries in 2022, saying that $2.2 billion came from the UAE, $368.57 million from Bahrain, $352.71 million from the Netherlands, $324.64 million from Italy, and $146.95 million from Saudi Arabia.

 

There are also $133.16 million from Kuwait, $107.39 million from Syria, and $50 million from Libya.
