THE ST. REGIS ALMASA HOTEL WELCOMES MAHMOUD SAKR AS THE NEW GENERAL MANAGER

CAIRO, EGYPT, MARCH 17, 2022 – The St. Regis Almasa Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Mahmoud Sakr as the new General Manager. In his new role, Sakr will lead the hotel’s efforts and spearhead a new era of luxury in the new Administrative Capital of Cairo by introducing the style, innovation, and cherished traditions of St. Regis.

Sakr is a veteran hotelier with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Sakr spent the first 13 years of his career with Le Meridien across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Senegal and then moved to UAE. Sakr’s first time General Manager Position under Jumeirah Group was at Mina A’Salam, then he moved to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in 2012. Following that, he moved to Jumeirah Emirates Towers in 2017 which paved the way for his promotion as Managing Director of the luxurious Jumeirah Zabeel Saray & Royal Residences at the Palm Island of Dubai from 2019 to January 2021.

Sakr has been recognized as one of the most experienced business leaders during his time with Jumeirah Group in UAE as he brought operational excellence and won the most prestigious awards globally for hotels under his leadership.

Mahmoud Sakr received his post graduate general management program from the renowned Ithaca Cornell University, USA. Sakr is a diligent football fan, shares a passion of writing daily thoughts and a pet lover with passion for dogs training.
