CAIRO - 31 March 2022: Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António affirmed his country’s keenness to boost inter-trade and investments with Egypt.

Speaking during an Angola-Egypt Investment Roundtable discussions organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) on Wednesday, António said his country offers opportunities for Egypt to enter the markets in Central and South Africa.

He added that investment with Egypt is needed now more than ever before given Angola’s efforts to foster relations with all African countries, mainly Egypt which he said had helped Angola get its independence and kept supporting it in all fields.

Angola is keen to continue promoting relations with Egypt and benefiting from the great economic opportunities offered by the two countries as well as to proceed with bilateral dialogue and strategic partnership.

Banks and financial institutions should provide funding for the infrastructure projects and promoting economic activities to help reduce imports from outside Africa while increasing its exports, he added.

He expressed his keenness to boost activities that would help foster bilateral relations between Angola and Egypt.

The Angolan delegation to Egypt groups more than 50 representatives of the public and private sectors.
