Engineering exports up by 24% in January - council

CAIRO - 3 March 2022: Egypt’s exports of engineering industries have increased by 24 percent in January.
 
In a statement Thursday, the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EECE) said exports reached $278 million compared with $223.5 during the same period of 2021.
 
Exports of electric devices in January surged by 56 percent, while exports of cables jumped by 100 percent, the EECE added.
 
The most important countries to which engineering exports have increased are the United Kingdom, Slovakia, France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, China, Algeria, Libya, Côte d'Ivoire and Tanzania.
