The total value of operations of the ICIEC, which is the insurance arm of the Islamic IsDB Group, in Egypt had reached $7.35 billion, noted the minister, adding that the operations represented in covering areas related to import and export, credit service on exports and securing foreign investments.

Egypt is among the top ten countries that benefit from the ICIE's services, the minister added during her meeting Tuesday with CEO of the ICIEC Ossama Abdel Rahman Kaissi.

The minister, meanwhile, hailed the pioneering role played by the ICIEC and its fruitful cooperation with Egypt.

Said also underlined the importance of expanding the ICIEC's role in supporting Egyptian exporters and drawing up a mechanism to promote foreign investments in Egypt.
