Egyptian Pound bounces back against U.S. dollar

CAIRO – 10 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly declined against the Egyptian pound in Monday transactions.

The dollar recorded an average of LE 17.82 for buying and LE 17.92 for selling, down from LE 17.84 for buying and LE 17.94 for selling on Sunday.

Recording LE 17.86 for buying and LE 17.96 for selling, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank offered the highest exchange rate.

At the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the U.S. dollar marked LE 17.8321 for buying and LE 17.9324for selling.

The U.S. dollar registered LE 17.85 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling at Banque Misr and LE 17.80 for buying and LE 17.90 for selling at Banque du Caire.

It also recorded LE 17.85 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling at Alex Bank, BLOM Bank, Arab African International Bank and Baraka Bank.

As for the euro, it hiked to LE 20.30 for buying and LE 20.44 for selling, up from an average of LE 20.27 for buying and LE 20.49 for selling Sunday.

The GBP (British Pound) rate registered LE 22.94 for buying and LE 23.12 for selling, compared to LE 23.92 for buying and LE 23.24 for selling.

Arab currencies remained steady, with the Saudi Riyal recording LE 4.75 for buying and LE 4.77 for selling. The Emirati Dirham was unchanged at LE 4.85 for selling and LE 4.88 for buying, and the Kuwaiti dinar registered LE 58.76 for buying and LE 59.10 for selling.
