CAIRO – 8 July 2017: Spanish companies are interested in investing in transport, logistics, the Suez Canal Development Axis and water treatment projects, Joakim Di Montella, head of the Spanish association for businessmen and entrepreneurs, said Saturday.

During a meeting with Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr, while at the Crans Montana Forum in Barcelona, an agreement was made to launch an investment forum in Spain about investment climate in Egypt, as reported by Youm7.

The member companies within Di Montella’s association are looking forward to boosting their investments in Egypt, which include the renewable energy, car manufacturing, logistics and food industry sectors.

According to Nasr, there are 226 Spanish firms operating in Egypt, totaling LE 19.7 billion ($1.1 billion) in investments, ranking Spain as the 16th highest foreign investor in the country
