CAIRO - 5 April 2021: Egyptian exports of pearls have achieved a remarkable decline at the beginning of the year 2021 of one billion and 802 million pounds, according to government data, as the value of Egyptian exports of pearls, precious stones and jewelry reached one billion and 672 million pounds (104 million and 507 thousand dollars).

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, monitored that Egyptian exports to the UAE also included fuel and mineral oils, which rose to 13 million and 181 thousand dollars last January, compared to only 225 thousand dollars in the same month in 2020, an increase of 12 million and 956 thousand dollars.

 

On Sunday, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said that the trade balance deficit amounted to $3.15 billion during January 2021, compared to $3.85 billion for the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 17.9 percent.

 

The value of exports decreased by 8.4 percent, reaching $2.50 billion during January 2021 compared to $ 2.72 billion for the same month of the previous year, and the value of imports decreased by 13.9 percent, reaching $ 5.65 billion during January 2021, compared to $ 6.57 billion for the same month from the previous year. last year.
