Egypt’s youngest published author, 13-year-old Janna Gohar was appointed last month to be 2011’s youth consultant for the Seattle-based One World Foundation, which promotes the exchange of knowledge, culture and ideas to bridge the gap between the people in the United States and the Muslim world. As youth consultant, Gohar will help develop One World’s ‘Youth Ambassador’ contest and will report on the organization’s events throughout the year. Gohar, a seventh grader at Cairo American College, published her first book Sharktanic in 2008, which was followed by World War Three, Cats and Dogs in 2009. Her third children’s fiction book, Fairy Dust and Family Fun, is slated for release next July during the One World 2011 Youth Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington.
