The story takes place in the Burlesque Lounge where its owner Tess (Cher) struggles to keep the aging theater alive. Enter Ali (Aguilera), who has just arrived from her small town on a quest for stardom. Tess first hires Ali as a waitress but soon discovers her talents for singing and dancing that take her to the stage and may save the lounge. |
