Looking to reach a broader audience, comedian Mohamed Heneidi has decided to bring his character Ramadan Mabrouk from the big screen to the small screen this Ramadan. Under the guidance of director Sameh Abdel-Aziz, Heneidi has already finished half of the scenes of the series Monsieur Ramadan Mabrouk, in which he continues the misadventures of the naïve schoolteacher, now assigned for work in both Cairo and Paris. The first draft of the script was supposed to be produced as a sequel to his 2008 film, but Heneidi decided to turn it into a series after his film’s co-star Cyrine Abdel-Nour, turned down the offer of reprising her role. Abdel-Nour decided to join Mohamed Saad in another competing series Al-Lemby and Juliet.
