CAIRO – 17 October 2020: Egypt’s Ministry of Education explains there is an alternative plan to rely on electronic platforms in case the study is suspended again due to a potential second wave of high COVID-19 infections.

 

Deputy Minister of Education Reda Hegazy said that the first day in the school year, which started Saturday, is a “strong beginning with different exercises carried out to raise the physical fitness of the students.

 

He further explained that precautionary measures are taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus at schools, including commitment to wearing masks and maintaining social distance.

 

He also noted that the ministry is keen on the students’ health, adding that there is a comprehensive plan to e-learning through electronic platforms, where each student will have access to the resources suitable for them.
