CAIRO – 6 October 2020: Egyptian Public Prosecution released detained Journalist Basma Moustafa Sunday on bail of LE 2000 after being interrogated about the charges pressed against her.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution’s statement said that Moustafa rejected during interrogation all the charges that included disseminating false news and joining a terrorist group. The released Journalist said that she works as a reporter for several platforms and part of her duties to cover social and public opinion topics.

Moustafa was detained Saturday in the Southern city of Luxor where she was covering alleged unrest in the city before being transferred to State Security Prosecution.
