CAIRO – 2 October 2020: Egypt sent on Friday three military aircraft equipped bread production lines to Sudan,  as part of the directives of the Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Defense on Friday.

The aircraft took off from eastern Cairo to Khartoum International Airport, carrying semi-automatic production lines and technicians to help the Sudanese people mitigate the devastating repercussions of floods that hit the country last month, the statement said.

Sudan has been struck by floods on August 14 caused by heavy rainfall in late July. The floods affected over 180,000 across states.

The aid is the third shipment of the Egyptian urgent assistance to the Sudanese people, according to the statement.
