Four flights carrying 625 Egyptian nationals left for Cairo and one flight carrying 290 Egyptians to Assuit along with one flight with 145 passengers on board left for Sohag, the directorate said in a statement received by MENA office in Kuwait.

On Friday, Kuwait's Directorate of Civil Aviation also said 1,390 stranded Egyptians in the Gulf country flew home on seven flights.
Egypt suspended international aviation on March 19 as a protective measure against COVID-19 repatriating - on exceptional flights - since then around 30,000 Egyptians stuck abroad. The beginning was with citizens who were in visits or temporary stays. Later, authorities have been bringing home expats who lost their jobs, particularly in Gulf countries.
