Egypt and UAE end “Night Eagles” military drills

CAIRO – 2 November 2019: Egyptian and the United Arab Emirates ended on Saturday month-long military drills in combat named “Night Eagles” as part of a series of joint military drills between the two countries, said Egyptian army spokesperson Tamer al-Refaie.

Al-Refaie said that the latest drills include aiding the tactics of the main forces during the different stages of operations management. The spokesperson revealed that the drills included military activities such as setting ambushes, organizing rescue operations, and planning land and aerial scouting.



Al-Refaie’s statement said that the drills proved both forces’ high degrees of professionalism and cooperative spirit, adding that the trainings included tactics to bear emergency conditions and to boost mobility on different types of lands.

The joint exercise seeks to boost co-operation and exchange expertise between the armed forces of the UAE and Egypt.

In August 2019, UAE, Egyptian and U.S. forces concluded their joint military drill "Eagle Salute – Eagle Response 2019" in the Red Sea, which Saudi Arabia took part in as an observer.
