BERLIN - 26 September 2019: Egyptian Scientist and Surgeon Gamal Mostafa reviewed the advantages of Egypt's six-phase health insurance system which is being implemented nationwide and envisaged to accomplish its first stage in 2020.

In a lecture at the 12th Arab-German Health Forum, Mostafa tackled the phased implementation of the insurance system which kicked off in Sinai and Suez Canal governorates.

The plan entails establishing 65 model hospitals, 47 of which will be affiliated with the Ministry of Health and 18 to universities, Mostafa added.

The 12th Arab-German Health Forum brings together around 300 experts and decision-makers from business, politics and science to mutually address the most pressing issues facing medicine and healthcare in the coming decade.

For the 12th time, the event will be the major information and networking platform to establish and strengthen long-lasting Arab-German business relationships in the healthcare sector.
