Qatar State Security service has recently launched a large-scale arrest campaign in various parts of the country, fearing moves against Tamim bin Hamad, the Emir of Qatar, Gulf sources revealed on Wednesday.

The sources said that the arrest campaign included about 200 Qatari youth from the areas of Al Wakra, Khor and Umm Salal. The Qatari security services also arrested one of the activists in the "Al Da'in" area, Mus'ed Hamad Al-Nisf, and his son Khaled Mousaed.

The sources pointed out that this campaign carried out by the Qatari intelligence service aims to undermine the Qatari opposition, which began to prepare to take over in case Tamim's resignation, or a coup staged against him.
