CAIRO – 5 March 2019: Saudi Arabian Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz Kattan received Tuesday Ambassador of Egypt to Saudi Arabia Nasser Hamdi at the Saudi ministry's headquarters.

The Saudi minister also received several ambassadors from African countries. The meeting tackled many issues of common interest.

Kattan had been serving as the Saudi ambassador to Egypt since February 2011. He was the first Saudi diplomat to hold two high-profile posts in a foreign country at the same time as he has been the Saudi Permanent Representative to the Arab League since February 28, 2005.

After seven years as an ambassador and 13 years as an Arab League’s envoy, Kattan
left Egypt to start a new diplomatic mission inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a state minister for the African affairs.
