CAIRO – 28 February 2019: The U.S. Embassy in Egypt is celebrating five years of Maker Faire Innovations, in partnership with San3a Tech/FabLab Egypt, on Saturday March 2, 2019 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Smart Village.

The Faire, which will see ten panel discussions and four performances, will show-off key innovative makers from Egypt and the MENA region. They will showcase their innovative and creative designs, which they have managed to merge in a special way.

Additionally, attendees of all age groups, as everyone is welcome, can enjoy presentations by 250 international leading makers and about 30 activities and competitions.

“The Maker Faire is a celebration of invention, creativity, and curiosity,” said U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Thomas Goldberger. “Cairo boasts the best of the global Maker Movement, and the U.S. Embassy is proud to support creative solutions to everyday challenges with an eye toward developing an entrepreneurial spirit.”
