US military says 52 militants killed in Somalia air strike

NAIROBI – 20 January 2019: The U.S. military killed 52 militants in an air strike in Somalia's Middle Juba Region on Saturday, its Africa Command said in a statement.

The strike was carried out in response to an attack on Somali government forces by a large group of al Shabaab militants, the statement said.
