CAIRO - 26 October 2018: Head of the parliament's Arab affairs committee Ahmed Raslan has hailed as successful the outcome of Khartoum summit between President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir, saying that it opens broad prospects that serve the interests of both countries.
Raslan said that both presidents reviewed prospects of bilateral cooperation and agreed on implementing several projects.
In a press statement on Friday, Raslan said that relations between Egypt and Sudan are strategic in the first place, a fact that pushed forward the Egyptian leadership to support the Sudanese government at all regional and international forums.
The Egyptian-Sudanese joint committee is a launching point towards a new phase of integration between Egypt and Sudan, he added.
