CAIRO - 15 June 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi expressed his pride of the national team's performance in their first World Cup match against Uruguay on Friday.

The match ended with the winning of Uruguay 0-1, however Sisi praised the 'manly' performance of Egyptian national team.

“So proud of the manly performance of the national team,” Sisi said through a post on his Facebook official account. “I trust their ability to obtain victory in the upcoming matches,” Sisi added, concluding his post with hashtag #SupportEgypt’sNationalTeam #ادعم_منتخب_مصر.



Egypt has lost 0-1 to Uruguay in the first match for two teams of Group A at the 2018 FIFA World Cup at the Central Stadium in the vicinity of Ekaterinburg Arena.

Russia topped Group A after defeating Saudi team 0-5 in the opening match of World Cup.
