RAMALLAH - 1 April 2018: More than 100 citizens were hit by Israeli bullets or suffered suffocation during demonstrations for the second day to mark the Land Day (an annual day of commemoration for Palestinians of the events of that date in 1976) in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Health Ministry Spokesman Ossama al Najjar said Sunday.

Israeli occupation forces used various types of gases and bullets to disperse the Palestinian marches, Najjar said in statements to the official Voice of Palestine Radio, adding that they mainly targeted the lower parts of the body which resulted in amputations.

More than 52 people have been killed and more than 9,000 others injured since US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize occupied East Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, he added.
