CAIRO – 24 January 2018: EGYPTAIR Chairman and CEO Safwat Musallam has congratulated employees of the national company, the affiliated sectors and subsidiaries for winning the best punctual airline rank in 2017 amongst other airlines in the African continent, according to OAG’s annual Punctuality League performance report in 2017.
Safwat added that such record achieved in punctuality of operational performance in addition to other developed services is a result of EGYPTAIR employees’ great efforts in different aspects.
“We are Keen on maintaining this rank, so as to offer our loyal customers the best services they deserve in accordance with EGYPTAIR strategic planning in modernizing the fleet.”
On his part, Sherif Ezzat, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR AIRLINES, has expressed happiness for this record released by OAG’s annual Punctuality League performance report, which is drawn from a database of approximately 57 million flight records for 2017 to create a ranking of the best on-time performance (OTP) as it defines ‘on time’ as within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of scheduled arrival/departure time.
Ezzat added: “This outstanding result achieved after ranking the 31st amongst the top 50 punctual airlines out of 900 airlines worldwide release in October 2017 report, with 10 points higher than leading carriers in the Middle East and African region.
