CAIRO - 15 December 2017: Minister of State for Military Production Mohammed Saeed el Assar on Friday discussed with Portuguese Ambassador to Egypt Madalena Fischer cooperation in the fields of joint military and civil manufacturing.

Assar expounded the military and civil manufacturing domains of the military production companies, as well as national projects that the ministry takes part in.

He also reviewed potential cooperation between Egypt's military production companies and Portuguese companies, expressing eagerness to open new vistas of cooperation through exchanging the know-how in the manufacturing sphere.

During the meeting, that was attended by a delegation of Portuguese companies, the minister urged sending Portuguese technical delegations to get acquainted with the manufacturing expertise of Egypt's military production companies.

On the other hand, Egyptian technicians and experts will be delegated to the southern European country to get firsthand information on the latest technological expertise.

Ambassador Fischer, for her part, hailed the role of the Military Production Ministry in fostering relations between the two countries.

She expressed hope of strengthening relations through building new partnerships between Portuguese companies and Egypt's military production companies in all domains, in light of Egypt's promising business-climate.
