CAIRO - 9 December 2017: An urgent meeting at the level of Arab foreign ministers, led b Djibouti and attended by Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abou Gheit, kicked off on Saturday at the AL headquarters in Cairo to discuss the latest developments after Washington recognized Jerusalem as Israel‘s capital.
In statements, AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestinian Affairs Said Abu Ali asserted the importance of the meeting that will shed light on the grave consequences of US President Donald Trump’s recent decision.
He said that Washington’s decision had violated the Palestinian people’s, Muslims' and Christians’ rights.
"The US is biased towards Israel," he said.
The meeting is expected to issue a resolution of Arab action in response to Trump’s step.
