Iraq announces return of 3,000 displaced from Syria

BAGHDAD - 6 December 2017: The Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displaced stated that about 3,000 Iraqi displaced people returned from Syria, as they entered from Ninawa and Dohuk governorates, Al Sumaria channel news reported on Tuesday.

A statement by an Iraqi official said the branch of the ministry in Ninawa restored 2,800 displaced people in coordination with the Transport Ministry from a refugee camp in northeastern Syria.

Also, the branch of the ministry in Dohuk restored 182 Iraqi displaced people from Syria's Azaz city, the statement added.
