CAIRO – 8 March 2017: Ibrahim Mahlab, the president's assistant for national projects and former acting prime minister, inaugurated Wednesday the second round of “Egypt’s projects” conference to introduce Egyptian and foreign companies to the magnitude of Egyptian projects.

According to Youm7

, 400 Egyptian companies are participating in the conference, which will continue for three days and is considered one of the biggest exhibitions held in the field of building materials.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Small Industries Tarek Kabil and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly attended the inauguration, in addition to a number of foreign ambassadors to Egypt.

The conference aims at presenting investment opportunities in Egyptian national projects and encouraging foreign companies to invest in the Egyptian market or engage in joint ventures.

The agenda of the conference also includes promoting export channels in African markets, Youm7 reported.

Ahmed Megahed, CEO of the organizing company, said, “Trade delegations from seven African countries including Algeria, Morocco, Senegal and Kenya have been invited to see the level of Egyptian products on the ground, and to provide the opportunity for Egyptian producers to enter strongly into these markets.”

The conference will present investment opportunities in the new administrative capital and the economic district at the Suez Canal, focusing on the significance of these projects in advancing the construction sector in Egypt, according to Youm7.
