CAIRO – 24 November 2017: Minister of Justice Counselor Hossam Abdel Raheem ordered Director of the Department of Forensic Medicine, Hisham Abdel Hamid, to send a team of forensic doctors, assistants and technicians to the North Sinai hospitals, where the bodies of the martyrs of Arish mosque terrorist attack were transferred.

Fifteen forensic doctors and assistants headed immediately to hospitals near the terrorist attack including Bir al-Abed hospital, in which 85 martyrs have been transferred, according to informed sources.

They will determine the causes of death and identify if there are terrorists among the dead bodies.

State statistics indicated that 184 were killed and 125 were injured in a terrorist attack at a mosque in Arish City, North Sinai in Friday.

A number of terrorists stormed Al Rawdah mosque in west Arish City during Friday prayers and detonated an explosive device.

The Ministry of Health earlier confirmed that the injured were transported to Bir al-Abed hospital in North Sinai. The mosque was damaged as a result of the bomb.

Eyewitnesses said that the terrorists set fire to cars that belonged to residents and blocked the road in Al Rawdah Village.

Security and medical sources in the attacked area reported that forces halted traffic on Arish-Qantara Road, and deployed ambulance vehicles to transport the injured to the hospital.
