CAIRO – 13 November 2017: Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Monday morning, according to the Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Marking his third leg of the Arabian tour that includes six countries, Shoukry arrived in Kuwait to continue his discussions regarding the current Lebanese diplomatic crisis, and other related issues, according to the Foreign Ministry’s official statement on Saturday. The statement also mentioned that Shoukry is going to deliver messages on behalf of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to the Arab leaders.

On Sunday, Shoukry met his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi upon his arrival in Oman. During the meeting, the two parties discussed the recent political and security-related developments in Lebanon and Syria.

The meeting also discussed methods of reaching a political settlement in Syria under the auspices of the United Nations in addition to discussing the exerted Egyptian efforts in reaching the Palestinian reconciliation. Moreover, they reviewed regional and international efforts that encourage the Palestinian and Israeli sides to resume the peace process.

During his meeting with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa, Shoukry asserted Egypt’s full support to Bahrain’s security and stability, denouncing all terrorist acts targeting its safety.

Shoukry also expressed his hope for more coordination and consultation between Arab states to better combat the challenges they face, noting the importance of working together to avoid any tension and instability.

During his tour in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, Shoukry is going to stress on the importance of preserving Arabian solidarity in the face of the various challenges encountered by the Arab countries in the region, according to Abu Zeid's statements.
