SHARM El SHEIKH, Egypt - 2 November 2017: The national youth academy, proposed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, will come high on the agenda of the World Youth Forum (WYF), which will kick off here on Saturday.

In August, President Sisi issued a decree ordering the formation of a national academy to train and qualify youth.

Sources at the WYF organizing committee said the gathering will probe outstanding expertise of several countries in the field of youth rehabilitation and training.

The academy aims to train young people for public service, as well as improving their abilities and skills.

The academy’s curriculum has been designed in cooperation with a number of international scientific institutions and aims to follow that of France’s École nationale d'administration.

The academy's board of trustees will be headed by the prime minister and will include in its membership representatives from the presidency, the ministries of higher education, planning, and finance, and a number of distinguished figures.
