AMMAN - 6 October 2017: Secretary General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Nayef Hawatmeh on Thursday hailed efforts exerted by Cairo to bring Palestinian rivals on one table.

Speaking to MENA, Hawatmeh said Egypt led inter-Palestinian dialogue into a new beginning for real Palestinian reconciliation. He highlighted efforts exerted by Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to make this reconciliation a reality.

Cairo has always been a supporter of the Palestinian cause, he said, urging Egypt to keep backing the Palestinian people in order to achieve goals of their reconciliation and to build their independent state.

The political leader urged the Palestinian powers to do their part of the job to bolster unity that ends up with achieving the main national goals.

Speaking on this part, he said the Palestinians should utterly end division and re-establish a unitary official authority.

The politician added a solid political will is necessary to overcome whatever challenges may face them to that end.
