CAIRO - 7 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi returned home on Thursday, wrapping up a tour of China and Vietnam.

President Sisi participated in the the BRICS Business Forum, during which he explained that Egypt has adopted several radical economic reform measures while following a national plan that constituted a strategy for development until the year 2030.

On the sidelines of his visit to China, Sisi held talks with the presidents of China, Russia, South Africa and the Indian prime minister on means of promoting bilateral cooperation in all fields.

President Sisi also met with heads of giant Chinese companies to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt.

Sisi briefed the Chinese businessmen on the investment opportunities available in Egypt, as well as the measures taken by the government to improve the economic situation.

In Hanoi, The Egyptian leader met with his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang and discussed means of bolstering bilateral relations in all fields, especially the economic one, noting that Cairo attaches importance to beefing up trade exchange between the two countries.

The president also condemned violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, noting that such incidents would nurture terrorism and extremism.

Meanwhile, Sisi attended the Egyptian-Vietnamese business forum in Hanoi, during which he welcomed Vietnamese investors, especially industrialists, who are willing to engage in economic partnerships in the industrial zones being established in Egypt.
