CAIRO – 6 September 2017: During his meeting with Vietnam's Communist Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi expressed Egypt’s hope to increase business cooperation between the two countries as well as bolstering cultural relations in various fields.

Sisi said that his visit to Vietnam reflected Egypt’s keenness on promoting cooperation with Vietnam to benefit from the successful Vietnamese experiment economically, commercially and developmentally, according to his statement issued on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Phu Trong noted that Sisi’s visit to Vietnam will also broaden new horizons of collaboration between the two countries, hailing Egypt’s position in the Mideast and worldwide.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed a number of issues concerning bilateral relations. Phu Trong welcomed signing a number of memorandums covering different domains between the two countries, the presidency’s spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Al- Sisi invited Phu Trong to visit Cairo and in return he expressed his hope to accept his invitation.
