CAIRO - 8 July 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched its 230th humanitarian land convoy, codenamed "Zad Al-Izza," delivering thousands of tons of comprehensive emergency relief directly to the Gaza Strip.

The extensive cargo manifest comprises more than 92,000 specialized food parcels, critical medical supplies, and essential pharmaceuticals.

The humanitarian payload also features vital petroleum shipments engineered to sustain power generation for hospitals, emergency clinics, and municipal infrastructure across the blockaded territory.

Operating as Egypt's centralized national mechanism for cross-border aid coordination, the ERC managed the assembly and strategic deployment of the transport fleet.

The deployment builds on a humanitarian corridor maintained by Egyptian authorities since the onset of the regional crisis.

ERC officials reaffirmed that the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing has remained permanently operational, backed by sustained mobilizations across regional logistics hubs.

To date, Egypt's cumulative humanitarian throughput has surpassed one million metric tons of emergency supplies, coordinated by a domestic network of over 65,000 specialized aid volunteers.
