CAIRO, July 5 – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has renewed the appointments of the executive director and deputy executive director of the National Training Academy for one year, according to presidential decrees published in the Official Gazette.
Under Presidential Decree No. 280 of 2026, El Sisi renewed the appointment of Solafa Goueli as executive director of the academy for a one-year term effective July 1.
In a separate decree, No. 281 of 2026, the president renewed the appointment of Taher Nasr as deputy executive director of the academy.
Established under Presidential Decree No. 434 of 2017, the National Training Academy was created to invest in human capital by developing the capabilities of Egyptian youth and future leaders.
The academy describes its mission as preparing qualified, innovative leaders from Egypt and the wider region to drive sustainable development.
It also seeks to promote sustainable initiatives and innovation in response to global economic, technological and environmental changes.
Goueli has served as the academy's executive director since July 2025.
She has more than three decades of experience in pre-university and higher education, institutional governance and international cooperation.
Throughout her career, she has worked to build strategic partnerships between academic institutions, government entities and international organizations to advance human capital development in Egypt.
The academy’s deputy executive director, Nasr, holds a PhD from Cairo University and is a lecturer at the Nuclear Materials Authority.
Combining academic expertise with executive experience, Nasr has contributed to developing specialized initiatives and programs in human capital development, institutional capacity building, leadership and human resources management.
